We are opening very soon!
We can't wait to welcome you back! The world has changed this year and so have we.
The government announced that it was safe to return to restaurants on the 4th of July 2020 with social distancing of 2 meters or 1 meter if certain protections are put in place. The guidance unfortunately is vague on what that actually means. Having taken some time to analyse what other safer countries are doing we built on the guidance and then some! Your safety is much more important to us than rushing to get open, so we took the difficult decision to remain closed and only supply for takeaway and delivery.
So what have we done?
Thanks to the amazing generosity of our crowfunders POPSI'S has gone above and beyond what has been suggested by the government and are confident in welcoming you back in to a space that is one of the safest to eat at in Southampton. We have invested over £1,000 in partitions between tables with sneeze guards, we have removed half our seating inside, bought new outside seating, sanitising stations, automatic light switches, barriers, face shields, sanitising chemicals, mobile phone sanitisers and so much more. Due to production delays we have had to hold out but we are confident to share with you that it's looking pretty good for opening on Tuesday the 21st of July 2020 subject to contractors completing on time. We will confirm this over the weekend and then open up our online system for bookings. We will also be sharing a video walkthrough so you can see what POPSI'S looks like now and what you can expect on your visit!
So what do you need to know about booking?
Firstly please don't call up just yet, we don't want to book people in and then have to cancel just in case. We fully support the government track and trace policy. So we will manage this all through our online system. You will need to fill out these details so please use the online table booking system, we can't accept telephone call bookings at this time. Don't worry though it's a super easy form to fill out. It's important to note that currently we can only seat up to 4 people at one table inside. Lastly we will only be open for bookings between 5pm & 10pm.
What happens if I don't book?
Don't worry, we don't want to turn you away so if there is space for you in the restaurant then we will ask you to book on your phone through our website and then give you that table. We will also have outside seating available that can't be booked but will be available on sunnier days if you just happen to walk by and fancy a pizza! We are open from 3pm each day so if you want to eat outside with a pizza which isn't table service then you are welcome to do so, but you will need to register your details for the track and trace.
We can't wait to welcome you back and hopefully as this virus moves on we can reopen back to where we were. In the mean time know that we are doing everything in our power to make your visit as pleasurable and safe as possible!
Thanks for your support,
See you soon!
